Our estate

The company, founded in 1899 by Tiziano Baldassar, is located in Santa Maria di Feletto. The area is the first hills around Conegliano, in the heart of the historical production of DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco.

Our vineyards, painted on the hillsides of Valbona, face east and our plants get the first kiss of the sun in the morning. This is where the high quality of our product comes from. A good temperature range guarantees the creation of those aromas that make our Prosecco an excellent quality wine and connects it to the territory of origin in an indissoluble way.

As for the Terroir, the production area is 200 m above sea level and has gentle slopes. These soils show a marked pedogenetic evolution and are mainly made up of red clays and, in some areas, of rocks similar to marls. This pedological matrix guarantees an adequate supply of mineral and organic substances essential for the sustenance and nourishment of our vines. The variety is Glera and it is from here that the famous Prosecco wine is born.

Thanks to these peculiarities of the soils, our wines have a clear territorial imprint that is difficult to confuse and therefore very appreciated. The number of plants per hectare varies from 3000 to 3500; the training systems adopted by our company are Sylvoz and Guyot. Harvesting the grapes only by hand guarantees respect for the product and preserves all the qualitative characteristics as to give us a prosecco that can express to the maximum the territory in which it was born.

Our winery

Our underground cellar guarantees respect for the product at any time of the year, especially thanks to the natural freshness during the summer period. For us, the cellar is the place where the transformation of grapes into wine takes place, but above all, is where the most important phase of respecting the characteristics of the grape takes place in order to obtain a final product as less “worked” as possible. This is why we use both stainless steel tanks and glass-lined concrete tanks. The latter have been used for decades for the fermentation process, and, thanks to their lower thermal conductivity compared to metal, they guarantee a gradual lowering of the must temperature, while respecting the product itself and the secondary aromas that are created. Upon request we will be happy to take you on a tour and visit our winery, perhaps tasting the wines in their different stages of transformation, starting from the base that, in the future, will become the Spumante Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
